The acquisition of Leica Camera AG’s machining department built the foundation of Uwe Weller Feinwerktechnik company.

Fusion with the paternal business 'Günther Weller Feinwerktechnik'. The relocation to the Factory Hall in Wilhelm-Loh-Straße follows. 

The Weilburg-based Department of Mechanics of Leica Microsystems is integrated in the company.

The Department of Machining of the Zeiss-Hensoldt Group Wetzlar follows.

Through the relocation to the new factory building ‘Am Leitz-Park’, all manufacturing sections are combined ‘under one roof’.

The 'old' factory buildings in Wilhelm-Loh Straße were used to install the new Uwe Weller Surface technology in 2009.

Uwe Weller Feinwerktechnik GmbH employs around 150 members of staff in the sectors: Development, Manufacturing, Surface technology and Assembly.
